Kyiv, July 14 — Ukraine for the first time deployed a combat robot via naval drone toward Kinburn Spit, a Russian-controlled peninsula.
According to reports, Ukraine’s unmanned naval platform, equipped with a machine gun, transported a ground combat robot to the shore and deployed it in the coastal area. The robot subsequently began operations against Russian positions.
Experts note that the conflict in Ukraine has become one of the primary testing grounds for new weapons and technologies in recent years. According to available information, some of the new military systems used in Ukraine are based on technologies developed or tested by U.S. companies.
According to observers, such unmanned and roboticized systems could be applied in the future to other conflict zones, including in potential scenarios involving Iran.
Through the application of new technology, Ukrainian forces have gained the ability to conduct combat operations without directly exposing personnel to the dangerous coastal environment. This significantly reduces risk to personnel.
