I. General Provisions
1.1. «Jnews.az» is an electronic media outlet that distributes information via the Internet.
1.2. The media outlet was established to cover the public, cultural, historical, and social life of the Jewish community, as well as to promote the ideas of multiculturalism and intercultural dialogue in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
1.3. The primary web address of the media outlet: https://jnews.az
1.4. The media outlet carries out its activities in accordance with:
- The Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan
- The Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan «On Media»
- Other regulatory legal acts
- This Charter and the Editorial Regulations

- Russian

- Hebrew
1.6. The media outlet operates on the principles of:
- Freedom of expression
- Information reliability
- Objectivity
- Editorial policy independence
- Respect for cultural and religious diversity

II. Goals and Objectives of the Media Outlet
2.1. The primary goal of the media outlet is to create an independent information platform dedicated to:
- Jewish history and culture in Azerbaijan
- Development of interreligious dialogue
- Promotion of the values of multiculturalism
- Coverage of public life and international relations
2.2. The main objectives of the media outlet:
- Dissemination of reliable information
- Coverage of the activities of the Jewish community
- Popularization of the cultural heritage of the peoples of Azerbaijan
- Development of international humanitarian cooperation
- Support for intercultural dialogue
2.3. The media outlet may publish:
- News
- Analytical materials
- Interviews
- Reports

III. Founder of the Media Outlet
3.1. The founder of the media outlet may be a natural or legal person in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
3.2. The founder has the right to:
- Approve this Charter
- Determine the development strategy of the media outlet
- Appoint the Editor-in-Chief
- Make decisions on reorganization or cessation of the media outlet’s activities
3.3. The founder does not interfere in current editorial activities, except in cases provided by law.
IV. Editorial Office of the Media Outlet
4.1. The editorial office is a creative team responsible for the preparation and publication of materials.
4.2. The editorial office is headed by the Editor-in-Chief.
4.3. The Editor-in-Chief:
- Organizes the work of the editorial office
- Determines editorial policy
- Makes decisions on the publication of materials
- Ensures compliance with legislation
- Represents the media outlet before government bodies
4.4. The editorial office structure may include:
- Journalists
- Editors
- Correspondents
- Analysts
- Translators
- Photographers
- Video producers
- Technical specialists
V. Rights of the Media Outlet
The media outlet has the right to:
- Seek, obtain, and disseminate information
- Send journalistic inquiries
- Participate in press conferences
- Cooperate with international media outlets
- Establish correspondent offices
- Use photo, video, and audio materials in accordance with legislation
VI. Obligations of the Media Outlet
The media outlet is obligated to:
- Comply with the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan
- Publish reliable information
- Respect the honor and dignity of citizens
- Observe copyright laws
- Not disseminate materials promoting extremism, violence, or discrimination
VII. Financing of the Media Outlet
Sources of financing for the media outlet include:
- Funds from the founder
- Advertising activities
- Grants
- Partnership programs
- Voluntary donations
- Other sources not prohibited by law
VIII. Distribution of Information Through Social Media
8.1. The media outlet may distribute informational materials through official pages and channels on social networks.
8.2. Official pages of the media outlet may operate on the following platforms:
- YouTube
- Telegram
- TikTok
- X (Twitter)
- Other digital platforms
8.3. Content published on the official social media pages of the media outlet is considered part of the media outlet’s information activities.
IX. Responsibility
9.1. The Editor-in-Chief bears responsibility for the content of published materials.
9.2. Journalists are obligated to comply with legislation and professional journalistic ethics.
9.3. For violations of legislation, responsible persons shall bear liability in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
X. Cessation of Activities
The activities of the media outlet may be terminated:
- By decision of the founder
- By court decision
- In other cases provided by law
XI. Editorial Regulations
11.1. Fundamental Principles
Editorial activities are based on the following principles:
- Editorial independence
- Information reliability
- Objectivity
- Respect for cultural and religious diversity
- Observance of journalistic ethics
11.2. Standards of Journalistic Work
Journalists are obligated to:
- Verify information from at least two sources
- Separate facts from opinions
- Provide the right of reply to parties in a conflict
- Avoid publishing unverified data
11.3. Ethical Standards
The editorial office does not permit:
- Propaganda of violence
- Discrimination on national or religious grounds
- Dissemination of false information
- Interference in private life without legal grounds
11.4. Working with Sources
Sources of information may include:
- Government bodies
- International organizations
- Public organizations
- Experts
- Eyewitnesses of events
The editorial office ensures the confidentiality of information sources.
11.5. Correction of Errors
In the event an error is discovered, the editorial office commits to:

Journalists are obligated to:

This Charter and Editorial Regulations shall take effect upon approval by the founder.
