U.S. President Donald Trump gave an interview to the Newsmax television channel, in which he commented on the death of Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, who died on July 11 at the age of 71. According to Trump, the cause of death was serious underlying health problems, not external circumstances, as some conspiracy theories suggested.
Response to conspiracy theories
The Newsmax host noted during the conversation that Graham "looked unwell" after his trip to Ukraine, and directly asked Trump whether he allows the possibility of Russia's involvement in the senator's untimely death. The American president rejected this version, but did so with a caveat.
Answering the question about conspiracy theories, I would like to say "yes," but I believe that he (Graham—ed.) had problems [with his health], and very serious ones. And his father died at approximately the same age. He had deeply hidden problems that were difficult to detect.
Who was Lindsey Graham
Graham was one of the key authors of a bill to tighten sanctions against Russia. The document was introduced in early April by a bipartisan group of American senators. The politician was 71 years old.
