The second day of talks between Israel and Lebanon in Rome has concluded. The discussions focused on implementing a framework agreement previously signed in Washington.
According to Al Jazeera, the two-day talks were held under US mediation and led by ambassadors from Israel and Lebanon. The parties discussed next steps toward implementing the agreements reached.
One of the main topics of the negotiations was the withdrawal of Israeli forces from two "test zones" in southern Lebanon and the transfer of oversight of these areas to the Lebanese army.
