The first-ever FIFA U-15 Boys' World Cup and Festival will take place in Azerbaijan in 2026.
President Ilham Aliyev has signed a Decree regarding this event.
It was noted that during the meeting of the Bureau of the FIFA Council on June 25, 2026, a decision was made to hold the first FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival in Azerbaijan from October 22 to 31, 2026:
"Azerbaijan's hosting of the first-ever FIFA U-15 Boys' World Cup and Festival in sports history will serve to further strengthen our country's growing reputation in the international sports arena, develop football, and enrich Azerbaijan's experience in organizing prestigious competitions."
According to the Decree, the coordination of events and the resolution of necessary issues related to hosting the first FIFA U-15 Boys' World Cup and Festival in Azerbaijan have been entrusted to the Organizing Committee. This committee was established by Decree No. 849 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, dated December 15, 2025, in connection with Azerbaijan hosting the FIFA U-20 Men's World Cup in 2027.
The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been instructed to resolve the issues arising from this Decree.
