Australian canoe slalom athlete Noemie Fox will be inducted into the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in 2026. The organization announced the news on its official website.
Noemie Fox became an Olympic champion by winning a gold medal in the canoe slalom event at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. In addition, she is a two-time world champion, an Oceania champion, and held the world junior champion title in 2013.
Fox comes from a family with a prestigious sporting tradition. Her father, Richard Fox, is a former world champion canoe slalom athlete for Great Britain. Her mother, Myriam Fox-Jerusalmi, competed for the French national team and won a bronze medal at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
Noemie's aunt, Rachel Fox-Crosby, was also a member of the Great Britain national team and won a silver medal at the world championships. Her older sister, Jessica Fox, is an Olympic and world champion.
The induction of Noemie Fox into the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame is considered further recognition of her international sports career and Olympic achievements.
