Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev has signed the relevant decree.
Under the decree, Rufat Jahanghir oglu Hajialibayov has been appointed Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Rufat Hajialibayov is a specialist with extensive experience in information technology and digital transformation. He previously held senior positions at international companies including HP, Microsoft and SAP, and has worked in the information technology sector for more than 25 years.
Rufat Hajialibayov was appointed adviser on healthcare digitalisation by order of Health Minister Teymur Musayev in July 2022, and in recent years has been involved in implementing digital transformation projects within the country's healthcare system.
It is worth noting that in 2021 Rufat Hajialibayov was awarded the "Tarakki" (Progress) medal for his contributions to the development of the information technology sector in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
