The US organization StopAntisemitism has released the results of its monitoring of content moderation on popular social networks.
Jnews.az reports that over the course of a year, from July 2025 to July 2026, the organization sent complaints every week to platforms regarding accounts and posts alleged to contain antisemitic elements, hate speech, and incitement to violence.
According to the report, the highest performance was recorded on the TikTok platform. Out of 49 reported accounts, 24 (49%) were removed. At the same time, action was taken on 156 out of 324 reported posts (48%).
Instagram took second place. Out of 36 reported accounts, 12 (33%) were removed, while action was taken on 70 out of 175 posts (40%).
The lowest performance was recorded on the X social network. The organization filed complaints against 41 accounts here, of which only 5 (12%) were removed. Out of 263 posts flagged as violating the rules, action was taken on 46 (17.5%).
StopAntisemitism’s report noted that the administration of X in several cases classified antisemitic statements, as well as content supporting terrorist and extremist groups, as permissible "political speech".
The organization’s head Liora Rez stated that the targeted removal of individual posts cannot be considered an effective solution while accounts of users who systematically spread hateful content and have large audiences continue to operate.
StopAntisemitism called on social networks to tighten control over repeat violations, involve specialized experts in the moderation process, and make data on complaint processing more transparent to the public.
