Jerusalem, July 14 — Israel is preparing a new project to digitalize state services. In the future, citizens will be able to renew biometric passports and identity documents via mobile phone without visiting government offices.
Under the new system, users will be able to fill out electronic applications on their smartphones, take biometric photos, and extend the validity period of their documents online. A special platform has been developed as part of the project that meets high security standards and is currently in the testing phase.
According to information, work is continuing on personal data protection, cybersecurity, and technical infrastructure to fully launch the system.
Additionally, the creation of new digital service centers across the country is planned to provide faster service to citizens. Through special terminals installed in these centers, many document-related operations will be able to be carried out quickly and conveniently.
With the introduction of the new system, it is expected that access to state services will become more convenient, the document renewal process will be simplified, and citizens will be significantly satisfied with the time savings.
