The Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA) has launched two free shuttle routes in areas of central Baku where traffic movement is restricted. The new minibuses are designed to improve accessibility to public facilities, recreation areas, and parking zones.
Which routes are in operation?
According to AYNA's explanation, the C1 minibus connects Khagani Park with the end of Zarifa Aliyeva Street. The C2 minibus runs from Sabir Park to the end of Aziz Aliyev Street. Both routes will serve passengers at 7–10 minute intervals.
Operating hours and features
At this stage, the shuttles will operate only on weekends and public holidays, from 12:00 to 00:00. The transport vehicles used are environmentally clean and promote sustainable mobility principles in the city. AYNA stated that the project contributes to the development of a pedestrian-oriented and accessible urban environment in the centre.
