US President Donald Trump said his relations with Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky have become better than before.
Trump discussed this during a meeting with Zelensky in Ankara. According to the US leader, positive changes have occurred in relations between the parties following the previous meeting at the White House.
"We have really managed to build good relations. It is hard to believe, but after our meeting at the White House, we have very good relations. Ukraine has great potential."
The US President also noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin has invited him to Moscow. Trump further revealed that he asked Zelensky for his opinion regarding the possibility of this visit.
Trump's statement coincides with a period when diplomatic contacts continue toward resolving the Ukraine-Russia dispute.
