A high-ranking leader of ISIS was neutralized in an air operation carried out in northwestern Syria.
This was announced in a post on the X platform by the US Central Command (CENTCOM).
The information states that Ali Hussein al-Ulawi was killed during a precise airstrike conducted on June 19.
CENTCOM reported that the operation is part of ongoing efforts to prevent and eliminate terrorists who are planning attacks against US citizens and territory.
The statement also emphasized that US forces continue their operations against the remaining members of the ISIS group in coordination with their regional partners.
