The Israeli government has approved a new "Table Diplomacy" program to enable young Jews living abroad to play a more active role in strengthening the country's international image.

Developed on the initiative of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, the program aims to equip participants with knowledge and skills in public diplomacy, international communication, and conveying accurate information about Israel to international audiences.

According to the government decision, 1 million shekels has been allocated for the program's implementation. In the first phase, launching in the 2026–2027 academic year, 70 participants aged 21–40 will take part in the program. The initiative will be carried out by the "Masa Israel Journey" organization.

The six-week training program will include diplomacy, communication, public speaking, digital information environment, and practical exercises. Participants will apply the knowledge they gain through meetings with diplomats and other specialists to real-world projects.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the program will serve to strengthen Israel's international standing, combat rising antisemitism and disinformation worldwide, and further strengthen ties with Jewish communities around the world.

The new initiative was developed based on the successful results of a pilot program implemented earlier and will function as a permanent program going forward.
