Starting July 10, Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) will add 3 sleeping cars to trains operating on the Baku–Tbilisi–Baku international route.
According to ADY, this will create 104 additional seats per trip. As a result, the total seating capacity per trip will increase from the current 178 seats to 282 seats, representing approximately a 60 percent increase.
It is reported that ticket sales for the additional cars have already begun. The fare on the new cars will be more affordable compared to the currently used Stadler cars.
According to the information, the fare in standard+ class on the Baku–Tbilisi–Baku route starts from 40.30 manat, depending on distance.
Minimum ticket prices for one direction are as follows:
- Baku – Tbilisi: 65.20 manat
- Yevlakh – Tbilisi: 53.30 manat
