Azerbaijan will abolish the 20-manat state fee charged for the use of gas installation maps (diagrams). This change is envisaged based on a proposal to the State Fee Law discussed at today’s session of the National Assembly’s Committee on Natural Resources, Energy and Ecology.
What is the basis for the change?
According to Bizim.media, the repealed June 30, 1998 Gas Supply Law contained a provision for providing gas installation maps to customers upon payment of a state fee. However, the new Gas Supply Law that replaced it no longer includes this provision. Accordingly, Article 18.59 of the State Fee Law is being repealed.
Terminology alignment is also being carried out
At the same session, the issue of making certain amendments to Azerbaijan’s Law on Energy was raised. This concerns terminological alignment — the content of the law is not being changed, but the concepts used are being aligned with the new regulatory framework.
