The Ministry of Internal Affairs' Water Transport Police Department conducted another operation against illegal drug trafficking.
According to information from the Ministry, the operation took place in the Gum Island area, located in the Hovsan settlement of Surakhany district. The operation was carried out based on information received regarding the sale of narcotic substances.
During the operation, Vugar Tahirov, who had been previously convicted, was detained. A large quantity of marijuana was discovered and seized from him.
An investigation is reportedly underway at the Water Transport Police Department regarding the incident.
