The next batch of transit cargo from Russia to Armenia continues to be delivered through Azerbaijani territory.

According to information provided by Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, today's transit is scheduled to include 14 wagons of propane gas and 5 wagons of fertiliser.

Transit freight shipments between the parties using Azerbaijan's logistics capabilities are of a systematic nature. According to official statistics, the following volumes of cargo have so far been transported from Russia to Armenia via Azerbaijan's railway network:

  • Grain: more than 36,000 tonnes;
  • Fertiliser: approximately 8,000 tonnes;
  • Propane: 1,026 tonnes;
  • Anthracite: 414 tonnes;
  • Aluminium: 133 tonnes;
  • Buckwheat: 68 tonnes.

In addition, a certain volume of fuel products has also been exported from Azerbaijan itself to Armenia. To date, more than 14,000 tonnes of diesel fuel, as well as approximately 5,000 tonnes of AI-92 and AI-95 grade petrol, have been delivered to the neighbouring country.

It should be noted that Azerbaijan, as a regional transport and logistics hub, ensures the safe and uninterrupted execution of freight shipments in accordance with its international obligations and transit procedures.
