Slovenia has declared its readiness to welcome Israeli tourists and develop tourism cooperation between the two countries.
Jnews.az reports that this statement comes as diplomatic relations between Israel and Slovenia improve. In June, Israel announced plans to open its first embassy in Slovenia’s capital, Ljubljana.
In July, the Israeli government appointed Ruth Cohen-Dar as the country’s first permanent ambassador to Slovenia.
Slovenia also draws attention as one of the safe countries for tourists. In the Global Peace Index 2026 ranking, the country took fourth place in the world.
This indicator shows Slovenia among the most peaceful and safe countries in the world. The country’s nature, historical cities, and relatively small territory are also noted among the main advantages for tourists.
