The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced a strike on a Hamas weapons production facility located in the Maghazi area in the central Gaza Strip.
Jnews.az reports that as a result of the strike, Hamas commander Ismail Abu Ful, who was responsible for the facility, was eliminated.
According to the Israeli military, Abu Ful was involved in the production of explosive devices and anti-tank missiles for the military wing of Hamas.
The army noted that the weapons production facility was located near an aid distribution center managed by an international organization. The Israeli side accused Hamas of violating the ceasefire as well as using areas near civilian infrastructure for military activities.
The Israeli military stated that prior to the strike, a number of measures were taken to mitigate risks to the civilian population. These measures included advance warnings, the use of precision-guided munitions, and aerial surveillance.
IDF units are reported to continue operating in positions deployed along the «Yellow Line» in accordance with the ceasefire agreement.
The Israeli military announced that a platoon commander of Hamas’s Nukhba force was also eliminated in the Khan Yunis area in the southern Gaza Strip. According to reports, he took part in the October 7, 2023 attack against Israel.
