Russian President Vladimir Putin met with government officials to discuss the impact of Ukraine's recent unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attacks on the country's fuel infrastructure.

During the meeting, Putin stated that attacks on oil refineries and fuel storage facilities have resulted in certain fuel shortages in the country. According to him, while the situation has not reached critical levels, additional measures are necessary to ensure uninterrupted supply to the domestic market.

The Russian leader issued orders to increase production of air defense systems, accelerate the restoration of damaged oil refining facilities, and expand fuel imports. He also emphasized the importance of more effective protection of energy infrastructure from unmanned aerial vehicles.

In recent weeks, Ukraine's long-range drone strikes have targeted a number of Russian oil refineries and logistics facilities. According to independent assessments, these attacks have had a serious impact on the country's fuel production and domestic supply chain, causing shortages in some regions.
