The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported the successful destruction of tunnel infrastructure used by the Hezbollah group in southern Lebanon.
According to the military, the discovered underground network was intended not only for conducting surveillance of adjacent territory. The main objective of these facilities was to facilitate the organization and execution of attacks on Israeli troops and civilian settlements located near the Lebanese border.
The IDF emphasized that the destroyed network is not the only one in the area. Other similar underground facilities still remain in the region. Currently, the military continues active work to identify and completely eliminate them.
