OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis has arrived in Azerbaijan. As reported by the APA news agency, this is his first official visit to the country in this capacity.
The head of the OSCE announced the start of his diplomatic trip on his page on the social network X. According to him, Switzerland highly values the established partnership with Azerbaijan and aims for its further development.
During the visit, discussions are planned on deepening bilateral cooperation in areas such as trade, innovation, and the economy. In addition, Cassis emphasized the intention to step up joint efforts to promote dialogue and ensure peace, stability, and prosperity in the South Caucasus.
The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office also noted that the talks in Azerbaijan would mark the beginning of broader diplomatic contacts in the region. Turkmenistan will be the next country on his current tour.
