A powerful explosion occurred in one of the cafes near the Palace of Justice in central Damascus, Syria's capital, resulting in at least 4 deaths and 11 more injured.
According to SANA, the injured were transported to various hospitals in the city by emergency medical teams. Police and security forces cordoned off the scene of the incident, and access to the area has been restricted.
According to eyewitnesses, numerous emergency medical and firefighting teams were deployed to the area immediately after the explosion. Local media reports that the explosion caused significant disruption in the city center.
The cause of the explosion has not been officially disclosed. Syrian authorities are investigating whether the incident resulted from a technical accident, gas leak, or a terrorist act. At this stage, no version has been officially confirmed.
