During a special event marking the 250th anniversary of the United States, Rabbi Zamir Isaev, head of the Baku Sephardic Jewish Community, met with Eric Trump, executive vice president of The Trump Organization.
According to Zamir Isaev, he had the opportunity to have a personal and lengthy conversation with Eric Trump.
The rabbi reported that during the conversation, Eric Trump expressed the words, "We love Azerbaijan." He noted that these sentiments demonstrate genuine affection for our country.
Zamir Isaev emphasized that during the meeting, Eric Trump demonstrated extensive knowledge of regional policy, the current situation in the South Caucasus, and Azerbaijan's strategic role.
The parties exchanged views on the peace process in the region, the prospects for implementing the ZANGEZUR Corridor transport project, and the role of economic cooperation in ensuring long-term peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
Zamir Isaev reported that he expressed gratitude to the administration of President Donald Trump for its support of initiatives serving the development of the region, the strengthening of peace, and the welfare of the peoples of the South Caucasus.
He also spoke about the atmosphere of tolerance and interfaith harmony prevailing in Azerbaijan, noting that representatives of different religions and peoples live in the country in conditions of peace, security, and mutual respect.
At the end of the meeting, Zamir Isaev said he blessed Eric Trump and thanked him for his genuine support and warm attitude toward Azerbaijan.
