The State Examination Center (SEC) held entrance exams on July 12 for Groups I and IV specialties, as well as for applicants who chose both DT and TC subgroups under Group III, in the subject of geography. The exam was organized simultaneously across 24 cities and districts of the country, with 36,356 applicants expected to participate.
Exams held in 24 cities and districts
According to information released by SEC, exams were held in Baku, Khankendi, Nakhchivan, Ganja, Shamakhi, Agstafa, Qazax, Sumgait, Absheron, Shaki, Mingachevir, Shaki, Zaqatala, Barda, Goychay, Ucar, Kurdamir, Shirvan, Sabirabad, Salyan, Lankaran, Jalilabad, Quba and Khachmaz. In these areas, a total of 153 exam buildings and 2,658 exam rooms were operational.
The process was managed by 153 general exam supervisors, 429 exam supervisors, 3,304 observers, 482 special conditions assistants, and 153 building representatives. SEC maintained contact with all buildings through an operational headquarters, continuously monitoring the exam process. It was reported that exams were conducted in accordance with regulations in all buildings.
12 applicants disqualified
According to preliminary information, 12 participants were found with mobile phones during the exam and were disqualified. SEC reminds that applicants who violate regulations will have their competition results annulled and will not be admitted to higher or secondary specialized education institutions.
Special conditions for applicants with disabilities
The exam was attended by 65 applicants with disabilities—those with visual impairment, cerebral palsy, hearing impairment, and other categories. Special rooms were allocated for them in exam buildings; individual observers were assigned to applicants with visual impairment determined by 81–100 percent loss of bodily functions. Necessary conditions were also created for participants with mobility restrictions to move freely within buildings and rooms. Observers assigned to this category received special training beforehand.
Results to be announced in two weeks
Today at 15:00, a live broadcast will be held via SEC's YouTube channel. Center officials and experts will provide explanations regarding the test questions used in the exams, and correct answers to closed, coded, and open-ended questions will be announced. Applicants can write their questions in the comments below the broadcast. Starting July 13, SEC will begin processing exam protocols and materials. Since checking open-ended questions requires time, exam results are expected to be announced in two weeks.
