Kyiv, July 12 — Ukraine’s Armed Forces General Staff reported a series of strikes against Russian military and energy infrastructure.
According to Ukrainian sources, the Syzran Oil Refinery, located in Samara region, was struck during the night of July 12. It is reported that the attack resulted in explosions and fire at the facility.
The General Staff statement also noted that 10 Russian tankers and 4 barges, allegedly used to supply oil, petroleum products, and military logistics in the Sea of Azov, came under attack.
Additionally, Ukrainian military command reported on July 11 that a railway echelon carrying fuel and lubricant materials was struck near the Tokmak district of Zaporizhzhia region.
Based on assessments of the results of previous strikes, Ukraine disclosed that it confirmed damage to the oil refining unit at the NOVATEK-Ust-Luga complex located in Russia’s Leningrad region.
Russia has not yet issued an official statement regarding this information.
