Azerbaijan's Qarabag football club won its first match in the first qualifying round of the 2026/2027 UEFA Europa League season.
The Agdam representative, led by Qurban Qurbanov, hosted Iceland's Vestri club at the Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium in Baku.
The home side displayed superior play and defeated their opponent 3:0. With this result, Qarabag has secured a significant advantage ahead of the return match before advancing to the next round.
The return match between the teams is scheduled to take place in Iceland a week later.
