The "Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of Georgia on the Supply of Electricity to Georgia and the Transit of Electricity through the Territory of Georgia" has been approved.
President Ilham Aliyev has signed a Decree to this effect.
Under the Decree, once the Agreement enters into force, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall ensure the implementation of its provisions, while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall send a notification to the Government of Georgia confirming that the domestic procedures required for the Agreement's entry into force have been completed.
It should be noted that the agreement was signed in Baku on May 18, 2026.
