A special basketball match featuring former Hamas hostages was organized during the 22nd Maccabiah Games held in Israel.

The friendly match, which took place on the evening of July 8, brought together former hostages alongside renowned Israeli basketball players and Jewish athletes from various countries around the world.

The former hostages' team included David Kunio, Ariel Kunio, Bar Kupershteyn, Elkana Buhbut, Eliya Koen, Or Levi, and Eytan Horn.

The event was organized by The Jewish Agency for Israel and Lekho'shit Yad. The main purpose of the match was to thank the global Jewish community for the support shown to those who survived captivity and their families, while also demonstrating that their rehabilitation and return to normal life continues.

Currently, the 22nd Maccabiah Games being held in Israel feature approximately 5,000 Jewish athletes from 30 countries competing. The competition, known as the 'Jewish Olympics,' will continue through July 13.
