The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has issued new safety recommendations for airlines operating in the Middle East region amid escalating military tensions.

In a statement released by EASA, it was announced that due to the risk of military escalation, airlines are advised to completely avoid the airspace of three countries—Iran, Iraq, and Lebanon—until August 31. This decision is a precautionary measure taken to ensure the safety of air transport.

At the same time, EASA decided not to extend the period of a broader warning that began on July 8. This warning previously advised heightened caution during flights over Israel, Lebanon, Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.

Experts note that restrictions or modifications to airspace can have a significant impact on international flight routes and schedules. Airlines are advised to align their flight plans with the latest recommendations from EASA and local aviation authorities.
