On August 25, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) struck a building used by Hamas in the Jabalia area in the northern Gaza Strip.
Jnews.az reports that, according to the Israeli military, the building was used as a weapons depot and an ambush staging point. It was reported that several Hamas militants were neutralized as a result of the strike.
According to the Israeli army’s statement, attacks against Israeli military personnel were prepared from the facility in question, and attempts were made to restore Hamas’s combat capability.
According to the information, the building was located approximately 50 meters from the «yellow line» and posed a direct threat to Israeli military personnel operating in this area.
The Israeli army also emphasized that the facility was located close to civilian infrastructure. Thus, the building was approximately 70 meters from the «Kamal Adwan» hospital and 170 meters from a school.
