On August 26, the opening of the Bilgah art school took place in Baku.
Jnews.az reports that First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva and her daughter Arzu Aliyeva attended the opening.
Minister of Culture Adil Karimli informed about the work done at the art school.
It was noted that the Bilgah art school was established as a result of optimizing the activities of the Bilgah settlement Cultural Center, Children’s Music School No. 27, and Library Branch No. 10 of the Sabunchu district centralized library system.
It should be noted that as the administrative building of the Bilgah settlement Cultural Center was constructed in 1987, it had deteriorated over time and become unfit for use. For this reason, a new 220-seat school building was constructed by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
The building of the educational institution, equipped with the necessary furniture and equipment, as well as visual aids, features rooms for music, theory, choir, photography, painting, sculpture, design, choreography and assembly halls, a cloakroom, a library, and a cafeteria.
Landscaping and greening work was also carried out in the school’s courtyard.
