In Yekaterinburg, a fire broke out at a Wildberries warehouse following a strike by an unmanned aerial vehicle belonging to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
A total of 800 people were evacuated from the struck facility, and no casualties were reported as a result of the incident.
Fire crews are currently working at the scene of the blaze. Details regarding the consequences and extent of damage to the logistics center are being clarified.
The acceptance of current deliveries is temporarily restricted, and they have been redirected to other facilities.
Artem Zhoga, the representative of the President of Russia in the Ural Federal District, confirmed the evacuation of 800 people and that the fire broke out specifically as a result of a drone attack.
For his part, the governor of Sverdlovsk Oblast, Denis Pasler, warned of an ongoing drone threat in the region. The head of the region also noted that temporary restrictions on mobile communications may be introduced for security reasons.
