Security forces in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province have faced a series of coordinated attacks.
In Bannu district, an explosives-laden vehicle detonated near a police station. The blast was followed by hours of armed clashes between attackers and police. According to latest reports, at least 10 people were wounded, including six police officers.
A separate attack occurred in Lower Dir district. As a result, two police officers were killed and 16 more people were wounded.
The Bannu attack has been claimed by Ittihad-ul-Mujahideen Pakistan, a group affiliated with the Pakistani Taliban (TTP).
