The Lithuanian government has resigned. According to LRT, the country's 20th government held its final meeting, and all ministers unanimously supported the decision to resign.
Prime Minister Inga Ruginiene announced that a decision had been made to return the government's powers to the head of state.
She emphasized that despite the existing difficulties, the Cabinet of Ministers achieved many successes during its tenure.
According to current legislation, after the government's resignation, the President of Lithuania has 15 days to nominate a candidate for the new Prime Minister. The nominated candidate must then be approved by parliament.
