Following Venezuela's government request, Israel's humanitarian aid mission operating in the country to address earthquake consequences has been extended for two additional weeks. The decision was approved by Israel's Foreign Minister Gideon Saar and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
According to reports, a meeting was held in Caracas between Israel's delegation and Delsi Rodrigues, representing the Venezuelan government. Prior to the meeting, a phone conversation took place between Gideon Saar and Delsi Rodrigues.
During the phone conversation, the Venezuelan side requested that Israeli specialists continue their activities in the country for an additional two weeks. It was reported that during this period, Israeli specialists will begin implementation of a national reconstruction plan they have prepared.
Following the request, the Israeli government approved the extension of the humanitarian aid mission by the Foreign Ministry and Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in Venezuela for an additional two weeks.
