Another Iranian missile attack directed at Jordan has triggered air raid sirens and heard explosions in the southern Israeli city of Eilat.
According to reports from Israeli media, a passenger plane flying from Tel Aviv to Eilat was forced to urgently change its route while in the air for safety reasons. No official information has yet been released regarding which airport the plane was diverted to.
Preliminary reports indicate that no missiles or debris fell within Israeli territory. It is reported that the explosions heard in Eilat were the result of missiles being neutralized by air defense systems in Jordanian airspace.
It should be noted that this is not the first such incident in Eilat in recent days. On July 19, following an Iranian missile attack towards Jordan, debris from missiles destroyed by air defense systems fell in an open area north of Eilat. Although no one was injured in that incident, security measures in the region were further strengthened.
