A delegation of Azerbaijani media representatives visited Israel as part of a media tour organized to strengthen professional ties and promote the exchange of experience between Azerbaijani and Israeli journalists.
According to Jnews.az, during the visit, the delegation held meetings with representatives of leading Israeli media outlets, as well as government officials, experts, security specialists, and representatives of various communities. The journalists were briefed on the current situation in the region, recent developments in the field of security, as well as the challenges faced by communities residing in Israel's southern and northern regions.
The delegation visited areas near the Gaza border to gain firsthand information on the security situation and events following the October 7, 2023 attack. The journalists also visited the site of the Nova music festival where the fatal attack took place, learning more about the sequence of events and their impact on Israeli society.
In northern Israel, the delegation visited areas near the borders with Lebanon and Syria. There, journalists were briefed on the security environment, as well as the situation of communities living in border areas.
Within the framework of the program, visits were also organized to Jerusalem and the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial. In addition, meetings were held with representatives of Israel's Druze community and the Mountain Jews community originating from Azerbaijan.
The trip provided Azerbaijani journalists with an opportunity to obtain first-hand information regarding developments in Israel, exchange professional experience with Israeli colleagues, and further strengthen media ties and mutual relations between the peoples of Azerbaijan and Israel.
