U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has implemented new measures as part of ensuring the safety of maritime transport in the region.
Jnews.az reports that as of September 7, U.S. forces have redirected 94 Iran-linked commercial vessels.
According to CENTCOM, military forces additionally disabled three vessels and boarded two more. It was reported that these measures aim to ensure the full enforcement of the active naval blockade.
“As of September 7, CENTCOM forces redirected 94 commercial vessels, disabled 3 vessels, and boarded 2 vessels to ensure the full enforcement of the blockade,” the command said in a statement.
