The operating schedule of the Baku Metro will be adjusted due to international matches involving Neftchi and Qarabag football clubs. Taking into account fan interest in both matches, the metro will operate on an enhanced schedule for two consecutive days. Baku Metro Closed Joint-Stock Company has released information regarding these changes.
In accordance with the metro's operational plan, the first enhanced measures will be implemented on July 22 at the Khalqlar Dostlugu station, located near the Palms Sports Arena, where the Neftchi vs. Dinamo (Belarus) match will take place. Additional staff will be assigned to the station based on a special duty roster, and control mechanisms will be closely monitored.
On July 23, additional measures will be taken at the Ganjlik station, as well as the 28 May and Narimanov stations, located near the Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium, where the Qarabag vs. CSKA (Bulgaria) match will be held. Reserve trains will be kept ready for deployment on the line.
After both matches conclude, if necessary, train traffic at other metro stations will also be regulated in accordance with the operating schedule of the aforementioned stations. In general, train traffic for both days will be organized according to the existing summer schedule.
