TABIB has launched a new 'Ambucycle' emergency medical service to increase efficiency in high-traffic areas and during peak hours.
Implemented as a pilot project in Baku in the initial phase, this model aims to reach the scene of an incident faster during the critical first minutes.
The special motorcycles, equipped with necessary medical supplies, are operated by paramedics who have undergone specialized training. They can perform urgent interventions at the scene, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), defibrillation, pain management, and immobilization during fractures. If necessary, the arrival of a fully equipped emergency medical team is coordinated.
The paramedics have completed special training at the Baku branch of Sechenov University, the Yeni Klinika, and the Republican Center for Emergency and Urgent Medical Aid.
After evaluating the results of this system, which is successfully applied in countries such as Israel and the United Kingdom, its geographical expansion will be considered.
