The Pentagon has released the identities of the US service members killed in an attack in Jordan linked to Iran.
According to the information, the deceased are 19-year-old Private Isabella Gonzalez and 25-year-old First Lieutenant Tyler James Fihan.
First Lieutenant Tyler James Fihan served in the 2nd Battalion, 55th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, which is part of the 32nd Army Air and Missile Defense Command based at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
Private Isabella Gonzalez served in the 1st Battalion, 57th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, under the 52nd Air Defense Artillery Brigade, which operates under the 10th Army Air and Missile Defense Command based in Ansbach, Germany.
This disclosure by the Pentagon comes at a time when military tensions in the Middle East are escalating. Currently, tensions between the US and Iran persist regarding both the Strait of Hormuz and Iran's nuclear program.
