US President Donald Trump held a meeting at the White House with five Holocaust survivors.
During the meeting, discussions focused on the fight against antisemitism, the preservation of the memory of the six million Jews killed during the Holocaust, and the importance of passing their life stories on to future generations.
One of the meeting participants, Brooklyn resident Ms. Blau, said that Donald Trump showed keen interest in their life stories and asked about the circumstances under which they survived during the Second World War. According to her, the meeting was also attended by the President's son-in-law Jared Kushner and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Humanitarian aid issues were also discussed during the conversation. Blau noted that during a discussion about medical treatment costs for sick children, Donald Trump said he would personally cover those expenses.
At the end of the meeting, Ms. Blau asked the US President never to forget Israel. Donald Trump responded positively to this request and expressed his support.
After the meeting concluded, each participant was presented with a presidential coin as a memento.
