Tel Aviv, July 13 – During the 2026 summer season, Israeli tourists have expanded opportunities to travel to foreign countries at more affordable prices. The resumption of flights by foreign airlines to Ben Gurion International Airport has resulted in lower airfare prices for several popular destinations, while the number of flights has also increased significantly.
Cyprus and Greece are among the most attractive destinations. Early bookers can obtain airline tickets to Larnaca, Paphos, Athens, Rhodes, Crete and other popular resorts for prices below $200 USD. However, specialists recommend not planning travel between August 20-30, as rising demand during this period typically drives flight prices up sharply.
Interest in Balkan countries is also growing. An increasing number of Israeli tourists are choosing Albania, Montenegro, Bulgaria and Romania for vacation. Holidays in these countries are typically more affordable compared to popular Western European tourism destinations. Tirana and Bucharest in particular attract tourists with reasonable prices, developed infrastructure and rich historical and cultural heritage.
The Caucasus region is strengthening its position among Israeli tourists’ choices. Tbilisi and Batumi remain among the most preferred destinations due to relatively low living costs, developed tourism infrastructure and the existence of direct air connections with Israel.
Azerbaijan is also among the attractive countries for Israeli tourists. Baku is valued by many travelers as an alternative destination to Turkey. This is due to direct flights from Israel to the capital, affordable prices and the friendly relations that exist between Azerbaijan and Israel.
Specialists note that early booking this season is more affordable compared to previous years. While some tour packages have become cheaper compared to last year, prices are expected to rise again as demand increases toward the end of the summer season and available seats on flights decrease.
Experts recommend that tourists plan their vacations in advance, compare prices across different destinations and obtain travel insurance that covers possible cancellations. This helps minimize financial risks during unexpected changes and maintains flexibility in travel plans.
