The «Wings of Eternity» exhibition, organised by the Museum of History and Culture of Belarusian Jews, has opened at the Slonim District Museum of Local Lore in Israel.
Prepared with the support of the Union of Belarusian Jewish Communities, the exhibition presents the rich historical heritage and culture of the Jewish people in Belarus to the wider public. The exposition invites visitors to build a spiritual bridge between the past and the future, and to reflect on the preservation of traditions and intergenerational continuity.
A Living History Lesson
The opening ceremony attracted great interest from local residents and schoolchildren. Organised especially for the younger generation, the display goes beyond standard textbooks, drawing participants into a «living history lesson». The detailed information accompanying each exhibit further deepened students’ engagement with the subject.
The Importance of Intercultural Dialogue
Museum staff particularly emphasised the role of such initiatives in shaping young people’s worldview:
«Exhibitions like this are of great importance for the development of intercultural dialogue. They help young people gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the culture, history and values of other peoples.»
