An Azerbaijani delegation specializing in innovations visited Israel to meet with the management of Netafim, a leading global manufacturer of drip irrigation technologies.

During the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation was received by Esteban Sokolsky, Vice President of Research and Development (R&D), and Ofer Inbar, Head of the Digital Agriculture Department. Netafim representatives provided a detailed overview of the company's history, development stages, innovative solutions, and successes in the global market.

Netafim, present in over 100 countries, is a leader in drip irrigation technologies, intelligent water management systems, and digital agriculture solutions aimed at efficient water use.

The meeting facilitated an exchange of views between representatives of Azerbaijani innovation companies and Netafim's management. Key topics included the application of advanced technologies in the agricultural sector, digital transformation, efficient water resource management, and opportunities for implementing modern agrotechnologies in Azerbaijan.

Netafim's management also highlighted their many years of cooperation with Azerbaijan. The company participates in various projects in the country's agricultural sector. It was noted that the implementation of modern drip irrigation systems in different regions of Azerbaijan has already contributed to more rational water resource use, increased yields, and the spread of innovative approaches in agriculture.

The parties emphasized the significant potential for expanding cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel in agricultural innovations, water technologies, and startup ecosystem development. Discussions explored opportunities for implementing joint projects, transferring advanced technologies, exchanging experience, and developing human capital.

At the conclusion of the meeting, participants expressed confidence that strengthening partnerships in innovation and high technologies will make an important contribution to the economic development and modernization of agriculture in both countries.
