The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the arrest of about 30 people suspected of organizing the illegal smuggling of Palestinian workers from Judea and Samaria into Israel.
According to the army, the large-scale operation was carried out this week. On Sunday, units of the Ephraim regional brigade conducted raids in Tulkarm, Qalqilya, Azzun Atma, Shuweika and several other Palestinian settlements.
During the operation, security forces inspected dozens of sites and detained about 30 wanted suspects. According to the investigation, the detainees organized the illegal smuggling of Palestinian workers into Israel and assisted their illegal entry into the country.
The IDF stated that the operation was aimed at preventing the activities of a network organizing the illegal smuggling of people into Israel.
