The Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency (AFSA) has destroyed an unusable biologically active food supplement imported into the country from Turkey.
According to the Agency's Information Provision and Innovative Solutions Department, the product, imported by individual Baghirzade Malik Namik oglu, was manufactured by Turkey's Cosmoactive İlaç Anonim Şirketi. As part of control measures, AFSA employees took samples of the biologically active food supplement named "Bilgam" TABLET N 30, batch number 26001, and submitted them for laboratory testing.
Although a specific amount of vitamin B12 was declared on the product's label, laboratory results revealed that the substance was completely absent from its composition.
Appropriate measures were taken in accordance with the legislation regarding the incident. The specified product batch, with a production date of March 2, 2026, and an expiration date of March 2, 2029, was destroyed with the participation of AFSA employees.
