In the Bilajari settlement of Baku’s Binagadi district, the issue of demolishing four residential buildings in a dilapidated state is on the agenda.
Jnews.az reports that the buildings being considered for inclusion in the demolition program are Building 1A at 35 A. Zeynally Street, Buildings 2A and 4A at 37 A. Zeynally Street, as well as Building No. 3 at 15 M. S. Ordubadi Street.
According to information, the dilapidated condition of these structures brought their future inclusion in the demolition program to the agenda.
However, no final decision has been made regarding the demolition of these buildings at present.
The Binagadi District Executive Power stated that the issue can be considered if relevant investment proposals are received for the specified area and private investors show interest in the territory.
According to the agency’s statement, the state currently does not plan to carry out demolition work in that area.
If a decision is made to demolish the buildings, the issue of how residents living there will be provided with housing must also be determined.
Currently, there is no specific decision regarding the compensation amount. According to information, although payments of around 1,500 manats per square meter were applied during demolitions in previous years, the average market price of apartments in Baku is currently around 2,700 manats.
However, apartment prices vary depending on the area and other factors.
Thus, the demolition of the four specified buildings in Bilajari is currently considered only as a possible option. For the demolition to be carried out, investor interest and relevant investment proposals will be one of the main conditions.
