Negligence has been identified as the primary cause of 3,224 forest fires recorded in Turkey. According to TRT Haber, a total of 40,032 hectares of forest area have been burned as a result of these fires.
The increase in the number of forest fires in recent years is linked to factors such as climate change, sharp rises in air temperature, and decreased humidity.
The causes of fires are classified into several groups, including intentional acts, negligence and accidents, natural factors, and incidents whose causes are yet to be determined.
